Anonymous asked: What are you doing on your diet, besides all the rigorous roller derbying?

I completely cut out all crap. No more easy freezer to oven to plate things. No processed anything. Everything low fat. For the first few months (until I actually started derby) I kept it under 1500 calories and right around 20-25 grams of fat. Once derby started I ate a bit more because I needed more.

I’ve been horrid about keeping up with my diet (aka - more cheat meals & snacks when before I had none) because I’m very happy in my current size. It seems that the amount I skate (three 3-hour practices a week) is good enough to keep me at the same weight even though I’m eating more.

I’ll break it down even more though. Simple as this: breakfast is a Special K bar (I like chocolate drizzle, 90cal 1.5g of fat), lunch is a turkey sandwich on sandwich thins with bordens no/low fat cheese, an apple, and garbanzo beans, dinner varies, but I just keep portions low if I’m feeling the need to diet, you just need to eat smart with dinner. Also, I can’t recommend Crystal Light enough. I adore the Wild Strawberry kind and the Cherry Pomegranate is great, too.
